CADE participates in the NAFEMS Iberia seminar

Last Thursday, 16/11, we had the honor of participating as speakers in the seminar organized by NAFEMS Iberia, where we aimed to present our perspective on the current and immediate challenges faced by numerical simulation, understood as an engineering tool.

In our presentation, we explored the distinctive aspect that CADE brings to those engineering challenges requiring the intervention of numerical simulation. We analyzed the tools and resources currently available and how they enable us to perform calculations that were unthinkable just a few years ago. This event was a unique opportunity to share knowledge and experiences with other simulation professionals, thereby consolidating our leadership and contribution to progress and innovation in this field.

We appreciate NAFEMS Iberia and our colleagues at CADE for providing us with this opportunity to participate in this platform for the exchange of ideas and perspectives in the exciting world of numerical simulation.

Explosive Atmospheres: Concept, Classification, and ATEX Parameters

What is an Explosive Atmosphere? An explosive atmosphere is defined as a mixture of air with flammable substances (gases, vapors, mists, or dusts) which, under normal conditions of pressure and temperature, can ignite upon contact with an ignition source. This mixture contains a sufficient concentration of the flammable substance in

When to perform a Water Hammer Analysis?

Purpose of Water hammer analysis One of the main purposes of water hammer analysis is to determine surge pressure or maximum expected pressure during transient conditions. This is of particular interest to evaluate operative scenarios: When a pump is suddenly stopped, a valve is closed, or any other scenario that

Atmospheric Boundary Layer: Assessing Wind Loads on Urban Structures

Accurate determination of the wind loads acting on urban structures is essential to ensure their safety and proper performance.  Influence of the Atmospheric Boundary Layer (ABL) A crucial aspect to consider in this process is the influence of the Atmospheric Boundary Layer (ABL), which can have a significant impact on the distribution and

Predictive Maintenance in Energy Plant Assets: Ensuring Efficiency

Predictive maintenance is a key strategy in industrial asset management, both in refineries and solar thermal plants. Unlike preventive maintenance, which is performed at fixed intervals, condition-based maintenance is carried out only when data indicates it is necessary. This optimizes resource use and reduces downtime. Predictive maintenance relies on monitoring
