Project supported under the grant scheme to promote the circular economy for capital goods in the renewable energy sector (RENOCICLA Programme), as part of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan, funded by the European Union – NextGenerationEU.
The AnemIoT PV project delivers an innovative solution for the intelligent protection of photovoltaic plants against aeroelastic and dynamic phenomena that can compromise the structural integrity and performance of solar trackers.
As solar plants become larger, more exposed, and designed for longer lifetimes, the impact of extreme wind events and induced vibrations has become a key technical and economic challenge. AnemIoT PV addresses this need through a real-time active monitoring system based on IoT and Digital Twin technologies, capable of anticipating failures, optimizing plant operation, and ensuring maximum availability and energy yield. By moving beyond traditional monitoring, the solution enables predictive and proactive decision-making, acting before risks affect structural safety or profitability.
The system combines advanced sensing, simulation-driven intelligence, and automated control to adapt tracker behaviour to changing conditions, reduce production losses, and extend asset lifetime. Validated in real operating environments, AnemIoT PV provides the photovoltaic sector with a reliable and scalable tool to enhance performance, protect investments, and maximize the value of solar assets.
