Industrial Decarbonization

Engineering and technologies to drive the energy transformation of industry, integrating diagnosis, strategy, techno-economic feasibility and execution of decarbonization projects.

Reducing the emissions of a plant in operation requires knowing where energy is consumed, which measures are feasible and in what order to apply them without compromising production.

Industries with intensive thermal consumption that need a decarbonization roadmap; plants that want to recover their waste heat or electrify processes; and energy managers who have to justify an investment with technical and economic data.

Services

Industrial decarbonization services

Without a reliable energy and emissions balance, decarbonization measures are chosen by intuition and investment cannot be prioritized. That is why the work starts with the diagnosis; from it, the technologies for each energy use are selected and their performance is monitored once in operation.

Decarbonization strategy

A roadmap without a detailed diagnosis tends to prioritize the most visible measures, not the most cost-effective ones. CADE prepares the plant’s energy and emissions balance, identifies the applicable measures and assesses their technical and economic feasibility to schedule them over time.

Decarbonization solutions

A significant share of a process’s thermal energy is lost in flue gases, effluents and cooling circuits. CADE designs the integration of heat recovery systems, heat pumps and the electrification of thermal loads, as well as the associated industrial refrigeration systems.

SimulTWIN dashboard: digital twin for tracking the energy performance of a plant

Digitalization for efficiency

Efficiency improvements degrade over time if their performance in operation is not measured. CADE analyzes the efficiency of mechanical and electrical equipment, integrates renewable generation into the process and applies digital twins to track the plant’s energy behavior.

Proprietary technology

Thermal energy storage and digital twins

When waste heat or renewable electricity does not coincide in time with process demand, thermal energy storage makes it possible to decouple them. CADE develops its own thermal energy storage technologies and applies digital twins, with its SimulTWIN platform, to simulate and track the energy performance of equipment and plants.
