On October 23, CADE Soluciones de Ingeniería took part in the “Diálogos para el avance en la gestión de los residuos” (Dialogues for Progress in Waste Management), an event organized by RETEMA and promoted by the Ministerio para la Transición Ecológica y el Reto Demográfico (MITECO, Spain’s Ministry for the Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge).
The event brought together representatives of public administrations, environmental companies, waste managers and sustainability experts to discuss the challenges and opportunities posed by Spain’s new waste regulations, and how to keep driving progress in waste management nationwide.
The conference was held at Espacio Caminos, the headquarters of the Colegio de Ingenieros de Caminos, Canales y Puertos de Madrid (Madrid Association of Civil Engineers), and focused on municipal waste and biowaste streams, essential elements in moving towards a more circular and sustainable management model. The meeting gives fresh impetus to progress in waste management, encouraging the exchange of ideas and innovative solutions.
A space for dialogue and collaboration
The “Dialogues for Progress in Waste Management” have become a leading forum for sharing experiences and best practices to tackle the sector’s new challenges. This edition addresses issues such as separate waste collection, biowaste recovery, the adaptation of infrastructure and the incorporation of innovative solutions that improve the efficiency and sustainability of management systems.
These meetings contribute to progress in waste management by creating a space for collaboration between the different stakeholders involved in the transition to a circular economy.
For CADE, taking part in forums of this kind is an opportunity to hear the administrations’ strategies, exchange views with other players in the sector and strengthen its commitment to innovation and sustainability. It also makes it possible to share the experience gained in projects where engineering and technology serve a cleaner, more responsible future. Through its participation, CADE reaffirms its commitment to progress in waste management and to developing solutions that bring about real change in the way resources are treated and recovered.
CADE and sustainable innovation
For years, CADE has been promoting solutions that help transform the waste management model into one that is more efficient and environmentally friendly. One of the most notable examples is its commitment to CADE SCWG technology, developed through SCWG.es, an innovation focused on waste recovery through sustainable processes and aligned with progress in waste management.
This technology is part of CADE’s commitment to constantly seeking real, applicable alternatives that help close the materials loop and make the most of available resources, while reducing emissions and environmental impacts. In this way, the company consolidates its position as a benchmark in progress in waste management through technological innovation.
How do we move towards a circular economy?
The new legislative framework on waste requires administrations and companies to step up their efforts in prevention, separate collection and recovery. In this context, the combination of engineering, digitalization and technological innovation becomes a fundamental pillar for achieving the targets set by Ley 7/2022 de residuos y suelos contaminados para una economía circular (Spain’s Law 7/2022 on waste and contaminated soils for a circular economy), as well as by the accompanying European directives.
CADE actively contributes to this process with technical and strategic solutions that support the transition to a circular model, in which waste is understood as a resource and sustainability is built into every stage of the process. Its experience is key to accelerating progress in waste management, a goal shared by all players in the sector.
Commitment to the ecological transition
CADE’s participation in these “Dialogues” is further evidence of its commitment to the ecological transition. Through its daily work in engineering, consulting and innovation, the company works with institutions and businesses to design projects that promote energy efficiency, emissions reduction and the responsible management of resources.
This vision is reflected both in its technical activity and in its involvement in forums that foster knowledge sharing and constructive debate on the future of the environmental sector. CADE firmly believes that only through cooperation between administrations, businesses and society can the shared goals of sustainability, responsible development and progress in waste management be achieved.
Looking to the future
CADE’s participation in the “Dialogues for Progress in Waste Management” reaffirms its role as an active player in the transformation towards a circular economy, driving technologies and solutions that make more efficient, innovative and environmentally committed management possible.
With initiatives such as CADE SCWG and its presence in the sector’s strategic forums, CADE continues to contribute to the development of a more sustainable waste management model, showing that engineering can and must be a key tool for protecting the planet and continuing to drive progress in waste management.
