CADE took part in the third edition of the meeting arranged by The Saudi Spanish Business Council during the past May 14th-15th May, celebrated at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Riyadh, in which 85 Spanish companies participated with the aim of promoting the business collaboration between both countries.
Saudi Arabia will undertake until the year 2032 several renewables infrastructure projects, up to 41,000 MW of solar power – 16,000 MW of photovoltaic, 25,000 MW of CSP– 9,000 MW of wind energy and other 10,000 MW of other renewable technologyies. The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is trying this way to compensate the current energetic dependency the country holds with hydrocarbons due to, even though they held a fifth of the world oil reserves, the current growing rate of consumption only guarantees fossil energy for another 50 years.
The framework of collaboration between both countries firmly allows to consider Saudi Arabia as a strategic targeted market, although highly competitive, in which Spanish engineering must play a fundamental and reference role by offering advisory, training, experience and expertise in promotion and development of renewable energy projects.
